Serves 6


  • 400g of potatoes, grated and squeezed to remove the excess of moisture
  • 400g of cauliflower minced
  • 1 red chilli
  • 1 handful of chopped chives
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • 1 tsp of cumin 
  • 1 egg for a vegan version use some chickpeas brine
  • 50g of parmesan or nutritional yeast
  • 1 handful of chopped spinach (optional)
  • 3 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 small red onion diced finely
  • salt and pepper to taste


In a pan, pan fry the garlic, the onion, the chilli and the spices with a bit of coconut oil or canola oil. In a bowl mix all the ingredients together.
Make the cakes out of the mix, put them on a baking paper sheet on an oven tray and bake them for 20min at 180c. or until golden and soft in the middle.
You can enjoy it with a little bit of creme fraiche with some chives salt and pepper mix into it,  with a homemade guacamole or just like that!
